Samsung Unveils SGH-P960 with DVB-H TV

Samsung announced the first DVB-H compatible cellphone for Europe that is available in a slider form factor. The new SGH-P960 shows TV programming on a bright 262k color, 2.6" DNIe display, and sports a number of advanced features. One of the more novel mobile TV related features found on the P960 is its DVR-like time shifting function that will pause live television programming when a call comes in so that users can avoid missing their favorite shows. The TV viewer app on the P960 also supports picture in picture viewing and an on-screen electronic service guide.

iPhone Crazy Russia

If you AT&T users thought that you were the only ones to use the iPhone exclusively in the US, this piece of information could quite leave you in dismay. The local telecom service providers in Russia are also able to do so courtesy of the young engineers who do away with the US carrier language codes by installing a Russian Language pack for $40 thus making it worthy of running on Russian Services.

Foxconn to produce 3 million 3G iPhones in June

According to Chinese Commercial Times, handset manufacturer Foxconn (also known as Hon Hai) will start producing 3G iPhones in the end of May and plans to ship 3 million units in June. The company expects to produce about 24-25 million handsets by the time they will be phased out.

LG VX9100 enV2 Verizon Available

Verizon Wireless will begin offering the LG VX9100 enV2 messaging monster, with a 2 megapixel camera and QWERTY keyboard. This communicator style handset features a small display and oversized keypad on the front, and opens laptop-style to reveal the QWERTY keyboard and large internal display.

Casio G'zOne Boulder Revealed by FCC

Casio Boulder Revealed by FCC

Casio's follow up to the ruggedized G'zOne handset has rumbled through the FCC, code named the Boulder. This clamshell phone features EV-DO support for high-speed data networks, as well as Bluetooth for use with wireless headsets. The FCC filing unfortunately does not give any other details.
