Panasonic introduces its new ToughBook W8, a ‘business-rugged’ laptop that has a durable magnesium alloy case and is Drop- and Spill-resistant. The ultra portableToughbook W8 packs a Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of memory, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics and a 120GB hard drive.

Other than the F8 and the W8, Panasonic offers also the Toughbook T8 business rugged laptop that comes with a 12.1-inch touchscreen display. Like the other two new models, the Toughbook T8 has a magnesium alloy case and is Drop- and Spill-resistant. Panasonic adds an ergonomic rubber hand strap to the T8.

Panasonic introduces the SC-HC7 and SC-HC5 D-Dock that comes with a 80GB internal hard drive. Other than support for Panasonic’s own D-snap music players, the two new D-Docks supports also iPod, including the iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod Classic.

Panasonic shows at the CEDIA EXPO 2008 its SA-BX500 7.1-channel AV control receiver. The SA-BX500 can send 1080p Full-HD video signals (as well as Deep Color or x.v.Color video signals) from a Blu-ray Disc player to a TV without degradation when connected to both units via HDMI cables.

In addition to Viera TH-103PZ800 103-inch Plasma, Panasonic offers also the 65-inch TH-65PZ800 and the 58-inch TH-58PZ800 of the PZ800 series.

Panasonic announced the new Viera PZR900 series plasma HDTVs. There are three models, the 50-inch TH-50PZR900, 46-inch TH-46PZR900, 42-inch TH-42PZR900.

Viera PZR900 comes with LAN Ethernet port for internet connection. These plasma TVs offers easy, direct access to YouTube. They all come with a 1TB internal hard drive for TV recording.

Panasonic shows us the new 103-inch Viera TH-103PZ800 Plasma HDTV. This new 103-inch TH-103PZ800 features 1920×1080 resolution, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, support for 1080/24p and x.v.Color.

Panasonic Viera TH-103PZ800 offers an analog and two digital TV tuners. It comes with the HD Optimizer to enhance the picture quality of MPEG videos.

Panasonic introduces the LF-PB37JD 8X Blu-ray burner, which is probably Panasonic’s own version of the I-O Data BRD-SP8 Blu-ray burner. Panasonic LF-PB371JD can write both Single and Double layer BD-R at 8x and BD-RW at 2. It can also burn DVD-RAM at 5X, DVD+/-R at 16X, DVD+/-RW at 6x and DVD+/-R DL at 8x. CD-R/RW are also supported.
